This course is designed to provide participants with a foundational understanding of financial modelling concepts and techniques. Course Structure Module 1: Introduction to Financial Modelling Module 2: Excel Fundamentals for Financial Modelling Module 3: Building a Financial Model: Income Statement Module 4: Building a Financial Model: Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement Module 5: Time Value of Money and Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) Module 6: Sensitivity Analysis and Scenario Planning Module 7: Building a Business Valuation Model Module 8: Case Studies and Practical Applications Throughout the Course: - Interactive lectures and presentations - Hands-on exercises and practical assignments in Excel - Group discussions and case study analysis - Excel templates and resources for practice Assessment and Certification: - Participation and engagement in class activities and discussions - Quizzes assessing understanding of key concepts - Mid-term project: Build a simple income statement and balance sheet model - Final project: Develop a comprehensive financial model for a case study business - Certificate of completion highlighting key financial modelling skills learned in the course
